01/The gap
Talent shows upeverywhere.Opportunity only showsup where someoneis already looking.
Where it breaks
Two students, equally brilliant. One of them is told what exists.
A student with three counsellors down the hall and a student with none can be equally capable. Only one of them will hear about the funded summer programme, the competition that opens doors, the professor who actually answers emails, the scholarship that closes on a Tuesday in March.
The difference is almost never ability. It is information — and the unglamorous sequence of small, specific steps that nobody ever wrote down for them. By the time the sequence becomes obvious, the deadlines have passed.
Most of the world’s wasted potential is not wasted dramatically. It is wasted quietly, by people who never found out what was possible in time.
Bridge writes the sequencedown. Then it walks it with you.
Not a course. Not a coach. Not another feed of advice you have to translate into action yourself.
